Prior to the launch of NQuire’s range of Cross Network Mobile Number Look-up Solutions, whether you are an end-user or a supplier of mobile telephone services, there has been no easy or reliable way of finding out whether a mobile number has been ported to another mobile network or not. This has meant that there has had to be a total reliance on the accuracy of the bill being provided from the incumbent mobile operator. An area that has been of concern for many years and one that is still a major headache for users and suppliers of mobile network services.

Most solutions attempting to deal with the problem place a total reliance on a user database solution for network/number identification and are of little real value for the following reasons:

  1. They are inherently clumsy to use and to integrate into end-user systems.
  2. They are difficult to reconcile with the actual numbers and need external reference.
  3. They rely on the number being processed for a second time to be of any real use.
  4. They are continually out of date by virtue of being historic.

Because the NQuire solutions work at the network level, the information regarding the correct recipient network, irrespective of the number prefix, is available immediately it is required.

Each NQuire solution has been developed as a multi-facetted product to meet the needs of differing user applications. Each product can accurately provide termination information on all UK mobile networks and to the majority of mobile networks world-wide and determine both the donor and recipient network for any mobile number whether or not it has been ported.
